Job summary

The Alaska Center Education Fund is seeking an Outreach & Programs Manager in Anchorage, AK. This 0.75 FTE role supports Trailside Discovery Camp, coordinating programs, outreach, and curriculum, while recruiting campers and seasonal staff.

Reporting to the Camp Director and collaborating with the Camp Manager and summer leadership, you will help ensure safe, high-quality, accessible programming and strong community partnerships throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth programming or similar fields.
• First Aid & CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months.
• Current, valid driver’s license and ability to drive camp vehicles, or willingness to complete training within six months.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed, especially during outreach events and peak camp season.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, move around camp and community event settings, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Trailside programming including winter break camp, spring break camp, summer camp, and special programming with partner organizations.
• Support potential future out-of-school-time partnerships, including after-school, school break, or community-based programming.
• Assist with day-to-day program implementation, including scheduling, preparation, communication, and field-based support.
• Directly support youth programming in the field as needed.
• Help ensure programs are delivered safely, consistently, and in alignment with Trailside’s goals and youth development practices.
• Support communication between program staff, families, partners, and camp leadership.
