Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Wolfjaw Studios is seeking a Business Development Associate to drive outreach and support for our engineering team. You’ll research prospective clients, draft personalized outreach, and turn project notes into client case studies.
You’ll work closely with leadership and our engineers, learning how a technical services business wins and keeps clients. Fully remote availability, with hybrid options for local candidates in Troy, NY.
Wolfjaw Studios offers a comprehensive array of proprietary tech combined with best-in-class development, production, and engineering expertise, and architectural innovation to deliver fully customized, mission critical backend systems and solutions for many of the most popular multiplayer game franchises in the world. The company’s unblemished track record of zero failed launches stands alone in the video game industry, across more than 600 million unique players and peak CCUs of 30 million (and growing).
Together, we've supported titles such as NBA2K (‘21-present), Among Us, Destiny 2, WWE2K, Apex Legends, and dozens of other hit games.
The Business Development team at Wolfjaw Studios is how those relationships begin. As a Business Development Associate, you will split your time between business development (about 75%) and team support (about 25%). On the business development side, you'll research prospective clients, judge whether they're a genuine fit, find timely reasons to reach out, and draft personalized outreach for review. On the support side, you'll capture meeting notes and turn our engineers' project notes into polished client case studies. You'll work closely with leadership and our engineering team, and you'll learn how a technical services business wins and keeps clients.
Strong writing skills, with the ability to write concise, personalized, professional emails and longer-form pieces such as case studies.
Strong research skills, including finding information online, judging whether a source is reliable, and summarizing what matters.
You don't need to be an engineer, but you'll need to talk credibly about backend systems and scale.
Due to the need for all Wolfjaw employees to communicate regularly and effectively with their co-workers, teams at our partner studios and publishers, and other third parties, we require written and oral proficiency in the English language.
Prior experience in sales, business development, marketing, recruiting, or another outreach-focused role, including internships.
Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools such as HubSpot or Apollo, and comfort working in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
Experience writing for an audience, such as marketing copy, journalism, blog posts, or technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will be a curious and enthusiastic self-starter who is interested in how games are built and run at scale! You should be willing to put in the time to dig into a company or a topic on your own, but at the same time not afraid to consult the rest of the team for help when you need it.
Fully remote availability.
Opportunity to make key technical decisions which help define the future of product and infrastructure development.
The chance to apply your existing knowledge while gaining experience with cutting edge technology and methodologies.
Positions at Wolfjaw are full time (non-contract) W2, salaried roles.
This position has the opportunity to be fully remote, but for candidates local to Troy, NY a hybrid arrangement is possible
