Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in athletic training required.
• Illinois licensure or active application to IDFPR.
• BOC certification preferred; NATA membership a plus.
• CPR certification per AHA guidelines within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Illinois driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate injury prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning per professional standards.
• Serve as liaison between athlete, parent/guardian and the clinic healthcare team.
• Provide school and community access to healthcare outside clinic hours (evenings/weekends).
• Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing and equipment fitting.
• Carry out physician-prescribed treatments and coordinate with the sports medicine team.
• Cover pre-season physicals, games, matches and events under director coordination.
• Participate in special projects to promote Springfield Clinic Sports Medicine.
• Plan and conduct educational programming to meet community needs.
