Job summary

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, California — one clinic per day. The role offers $27 per hour plus mileage reimbursement and a 3-day, Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule.

Bilingual English and Spanish abilities are required. You will assist the optometrist with patient intake, screenings, eyewear selection, and basic repairs while maintaining safety protocols and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing.
• Communicate clearly with patients in English and Spanish.
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs.
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment.
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks.
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability.
