Job summary

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a nurse for night shifts providing 1:1 care for a teenage male with complex health needs in Plympton. You will build trust with families and create a safe home environment to empower activities and growth.

This role requires experience in UK complex care, ability to manage epilepsy, and comfort with dogs in the home. A driving license is recommended due to remote location.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK complex care (minimum 6 months in the last 2 years).
• Ability to work 1:1 with a teenage patient and family.
• Comfortable working with dogs in the home; driving license recommended for remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 night-shift care and build trust with families.
• Create safe environments and empower the teenager to learn and enjoy activities.
• Support trips, new skills and community participation.

Location: Plympton, Plymouth Shifts: Monday-Sunday nights - 21:00-07:00

Pay Rates (including holiday pay):

• Nights: £39.55 per hour

• Skilled in key areas such as Ventilation via Mask (CPAP), Care and Use of Gastrostomy & complex epilepsy/seizure management.
