Job summary

The Ohio State University School of Music seeks Community Music School Instructors to join our team and provide private lessons, classes, and ensembles to community students at the Timashev Family Music Building. Instructors collaborate with the Community Music School Manager and School of Music staff to support policies and create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music or related field or equivalent teaching experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, parents, instructors, and community partners.
• Knowledge of music education pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging private lessons, classes, and ensembles.
• Collaborate with the Community Music School Manager and School of Music administrative staff to ensure policy compliance.
• Implement strategies to increase enrollment, retain students and improve outcomes.
