Job summary

Vibe Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist who will drive mortgage growth by cultivating new opportunities, building strong referral relationships, and helping members achieve their homeownership goals.

You will guide members through every stage of the mortgage process with integrity and empathy, discuss loan programs and rates, collect documents, and coordinate with partners to deliver personalized solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of mortgage lending experience.
• Knowledge of FHA guidelines and mortgage processes.

Responsibilities

• Interview members, take mortgage applications, and collect preliminary documents.
• Discuss loan programs, rates, and credit requirements with members.
• Analyze member needs and recommend mortgage solutions.
• Provide underwriting findings and recommendations throughout the loan process.
• Counsel declined applicants on strategies to qualify later.
• Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services.
• Maintain knowledge of mortgage process and regulatory requirements.
• Complete weekly follow-up on active loan applications.
