Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Meal Program Coordinator to organize and oversee the Eastside Corps meal program with volunteers and meal providers. You will manage the kitchen and dining area, maintain professional interactions with clients, volunteers, and partners, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include meal setup, volunteer coordination, records and reporting, compliance with health guidelines, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate with volunteers and clients in English.
• Must pass background check and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room for the weeknight meal program.
• Greet volunteers who provide and serve the meals.
• Assist with setup, serving, and cleanup as requested by the lead meal provider.
• Greet, count, and direct clients as needed.
• Monitor food donations and log weights.
• Maintain client files and records as required.
