Job summary

The City of Midwest City is hiring a Marketing & Business Retention Specialist in the Communications & Marketing Department. The role focuses on public information, marketing programs, and engaging residents and stakeholders with City events, services, and operations.

You will write content for various media channels, manage website updates, and contribute to city-wide media relations initiatives under the direction of the department director. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Oklahoma driver license (insurable)
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Tools, Microsoft Office and Constant Contact

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement city information strategies and campaigns
• Create and edit content for multiple channels to communicate City events and issues
• Manage the City website content and assist with multimedia productions
• Build relationships with businesses, chambers, universities, and community groups
• Coordinate media coverage of key events and preserve City branding and messaging
