Pratum Companies in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the operations of a HUD-affordable housing property. The successful candidate will provide leadership, manage staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and enhance community services.
This role requires at least three years of property management experience, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to the company’s philosophy. The compensation includes a salary range of $55,000-$60,000 annually, along with competitive health benefits.
The Community Manager’s primary responsibility and role is to serve as the point of contact for the managing property and stakeholders, provide leadership and direct supervision of the staff, deliver superb customer service, and manage all aspects of the apartment community operations under their portfolio. The role includes implementing the annual business plan, ensuring excellence in financial management, maximizing occupancy, fostering community values, maintaining compliance, and overseeing staff/vendor relationships. The environment of the property must reflect the company’s philosophy.
High school diploma or GED. This position requires the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and the ability to understand and perform all on‑site resident management software functions.
A minimum of three years of experience in residential property management and lease‑up.
The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to property staffing limitations, individuals must be able to work scheduled hours consistently and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. The position requires on‑call service as scheduled or as necessary. Travel may be required at times to attend owner gatherings within the general vicinity of the associate’s home property or in another state. The position also requires attendance at certain resident events held after hours.
Must be capable of physically accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.

Role is exempt and has an anticipated annualized base salary range of $55,000-$60,000 for a new employee, depending on relevant factors such as experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, client or company budgetary limitations, and other job‑related considerations. The position may be eligible to receive discretionary and/or performance‑based bonuses on a spot or annual basis, which are variable depending on individual merit/performance, budgetary limitations, company performance, and other factors. Full‑time positions (30+ hours/week) are eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 weeks sick and related leave, 11 paid holidays, and health & welfare benefits as outlined on the company website.
