Job summary

Mark-Taylor is seeking a Manager of Community Operations (Community Manager) for Ascend at Kierland in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on keeping communities running smoothly, handling maintenance repairs, and delivering five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

As a leader, you will drive revenue, mentor staff, and oversee HR processes while ensuring safety and property standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years people management experience.
• 2+ years as a property manager in luxury multifamily setting.
• Demonstrated coaching and development ability.
• BA degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Financial acumen with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and professional presence.
• Experience using ResMan, Yardi, or similar platforms is desirable.
• Basic written/verbal English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed targeted revenue by setting rent rates and managing operating expenses.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports with forecasting and action plans.
• Coach and mentor a team of administrative and service personnel.
• Oversee hiring and performance management through HR processes.
• Conduct regular property inspections and drive property enhancements.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $79,000/year.
• In addition to your base pay, you will be eligible to receive bonuses based on achievement of operational metrics.

In This Role You Will

• Meet or exceed targeted revenue expectations by setting rent rates, managing operating expenses, and diligently monitoring aged delinquency. Prepare and review monthly financial reports with intuitive forecasting and a proactive plan for the financial performance of the asset
• Coach, mentor, and inspire a team of administrative and service personnel, coordinating their activities and individual goals through tactical planning
• Oversee the hiring process and ongoing employee performance management through courageous conversations and applicable HR processes.
• Conduct regular property inspections, propose, and own the resolution plan and execution of property enhancements.
