Description
About the Role

The Community Manager is the operational backbone of the property. You own the day-to-day — from leasing tours and resident relations to team oversight and financial reporting. This is a hands‑on, front‑of‑house leadership role requiring strong organizational instincts, comfort with property management software, and a service‑first mindset.

What You’ll Own
Leasing & Occupancy
  • Manage the tour path and conduct leasing tours end‑to‑end
  • Execute timely prospect follow‑ups and handle intake at the first point of contact
  • Review comps regularly to identify pricing opportunities
  • Coordinate and physically assist with move‑ins and move‑outs
  • Complete move‑in/move‑out checklists and walk vacant units
  • Sign leases via Bluemoon; conduct in‑person renewal conversations (supported by Elise AI)
Operations & Compliance
  • Post 3-Day Notices as required
  • Walk the property and review onsite checklists daily (e.g., Do It Daily)
  • Sort and triage the distribution inbox daily — flag items for the remote team, assign tasks, and forward invoices appropriately
  • Complete basic accrual reviews (approve/deny with receipts)
  • Scan checks via KAI; input and receive POs via Payscan (approver role)
  • File incident reports as needed
  • Maintain front‑of‑house organization; order office supplies via HD Yardi Marketplace
  • Conduct tenant ledger audits and issue credits where applicable
  • Complete the Daily Report using the internal template (internal + client-facing versions)
  • Perform basic accrual review and receipt reconciliation
Team & Resident Management
  • Approve team timesheets via Gusto
  • Lead team huddles and track KPIs
  • Respond to escalated resident matters (Level 2)
  • Contribute leasing and review narrative for weekly/monthly reporting
What You Bring
  • 2+ years in residential property management, leasing, or a related field
  • Experience with Yardi (or comparable PMS); Bluemoon, Gusto, or Payscan familiarity a plus
  • Comfortable working across multiple software platforms simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication; professional presence with residents and ownership
  • Highly organized with the ability to self‑prioritize in a fast‑moving environment
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and willing to get hands‑on when needed
