Job summary

Brookside Properties is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee Moreland Apartments and Drakewood Apartments in Portland, TN. The role requires USDA Rural Development experience and a track record in affordable housing management.

Two established communities demand strong tenant relations, leasing, and financial oversight. You will lead onsite staff, ensure compliance, and drive occupancy and retention strategies in a close-knit, service-driven environment.

Qualifications

• USDA Rural Development property management experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of multifamily property management experience.
• Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Entrata experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage occupancy, collections, leasing, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at Moreland and Drakewood Apartments.
• Maintain compliance with USDA Rural Development requirements.
• Manage leasing, occupancy, collections, and resident relations.
• Coordinate marketing and resident retention efforts.
• Supervise and support onsite staff.
• Conduct property inspections and follow up on maintenance needs.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
