Job summary

Horizon Land Co Llc in Lothian, MD is seeking a motivated Community Manager to oversee daily operations of a 459-lot manufactured home community. You will work with the Assistant Community Manager and Maintenance Team to ensure resident satisfaction, safety, and well-maintained facilities, handling rent collection, inspections, and enforcement of community standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing laws in assigned state and county.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collect rent payments and prepare payments for deposits.
  • Processes and issues lease documentation for new residents.
  • Provides park rules, and other community literature to new residents.
  • Issues notices including Late Notices, Balance Notices or other legally required notices.
  • Prepare court documents, agent for court, file eviction papers and oversee eviction proceedings for delinquent accounts.
  • Enforce rules, issue violations, and ensure violations are remedied in a timely manner.
  • Complete and upload all prospect cards and information into rent software.
  • Follow up with prospective clients via phone and email.
  • Process tenant applications and enter prospect information into tracking system.
  • Run background checks on new residents.
  • Show prospective residents’ homes available for sale.
  • Address resident issues, record resident comments and seek to settle all non-monetary issues.
  • Keep Manager apprised of appropriate resident relations information.
  • Provide feedback and recommend improvements to assigned community.
  • Act as the onsite contact for most 3rd party contractors, and applicants.
  • Oversee maintenance function and ensure the park is adequately maintained by ensuring all park infrastructure, common area, and homes are well maintained.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Community Manager

Full Time Clerical Lothian, MD, US

We are seeking a motivated, organized, Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 459-lot manufactured home community located in Lothian, Maryland . This role works closely with the Assistant Community Manager and Maintenance Team to ensure efficient operations, excellent resident service, and a safe, well-maintained community. Responsibilities include rent collection, property inspections, enforcing community standards, issuing violations, addressing resident concerns, coordinating maintenance needs, working with vendors, and coordinating community projects. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-motivated, organized, and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate projects, and follow through to completion. Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. After-hours and weekend phone availability is required to coordinate community emergencies.

The Community Manager is responsible for to overseeing and managing the daily operations, tasks and interactions within their assigned property. This position will also act as a liaison between the company and the community of residents by addressing resident issues and helping meet the needs of their community.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Mobility to constantly alternate between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. 25% or more of the time will be spent walking around assigned properties daily.
