Job summary

A community service organization is seeking a part-time Assistant Maintenance Person to perform routine maintenance at a facility in Leeds, ME. Responsibilities include handling maintenance requests, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, and maintaining the appearance of common areas. Ideal candidates will have building maintenance experience, good communication skills, and a basic understanding of the needs of elderly and handicapped individuals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in building maintenance including plumbing and electrical.
• One year of experience in a related field is required.
• Good verbal and written English skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine maintenance tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• Participate in safety programs and know emergency procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and grounds.
