Job summary

Associa is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to handle daily porter tasks across communities. The role requires responding to maintenance issues quickly, performing carpentry and general repairs, and ensuring work orders are completed to company standards and tenant satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least five years in property maintenance or related field, and strong English communication, organization, and customer service skills.

• General knowledge of maintenance repair and service.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily porter tasks, such as service requests and jobs at communities.
• Respond to maintenance related issues in a timely manner.
• Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, painting, and exterior building repairs.
• Responsible for work order systems accuracy by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and the tenant’s satisfaction.
• Ensure maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours. Inform Property Manager and resident if work delayed due to needed parts.
• Promptly communicate with the property manager concerning all maintenance issues at the property.
