Harmony Senior Services in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled tasks related to the upkeep of the community building, grounds, equipment and appliances under the direction of the Maintenance Director. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to work with residents and staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in a maintenance role, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience in a maintenance position.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in maintenance/building trades.
• Order materials as directed.
• Make repairs to building, equipment and appliances.
• Disassemble and move furniture within the community.
• Review maintenance logs/work orders for prompt responses.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Prepare and paint surfaces.
• Maintain exterior grounds and assist with landscaping and trash removal.
• Assist with community vehicle maintenance schedule as directed.
• Transport residents safely in community vehicle to appointments.
• Assist with resident safety drills.
• All other duties as assigned.
