Community Life (CL) is The Community Builders (TCB)'s place-based model that uses healthy and stable housing as a platform for connecting residents to services, community resources and opportunities so they can thrive. By creating programs and building strategic partnerships with residents and local stakeholders, CL helps create pathways to opportunities in early education, economic mobility, youth development, community engagement, voter registration, healthy living, and resident leadership.
Reporting to the CL Director for New England, the Community Life Service Coordinator (SC) develops and coordinates support services for residents at Lyman Terrace in Holyoke. The SC will ensure resident and community success through close work with property management, building and sustaining relationships with local and regional partners, planning programs and other on-site opportunities for residents, and working one-on-one with residents to assist them in achieving their goals. This position also supports a collaboration between TCB and the Food Bank of Western MA, who provide food and support for the site’s food pantry. This role is required to be on site 5 days per week.
