Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living in Dover, Delaware is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to plan and run engaging resident activities across arts, crafts, music, dance, exercise, brain games and sensory stimulation, ensuring every program meets individual needs.

You will document activities, keep care plans updated, and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a welcoming, patient-centered environment that respects residents’ dignity and encourages participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Capable of working independently or as a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run resident activities (arts, crafts, dance, music, exercise, brain games).
• Create diverse programs to meet resident needs.
• Perform timely documentation.
• Ensure care plans are up-to-date and accurate.
• Keep clinical staff updated on changes to resident or guest condition.
• Safely transport residents and guests to programs.
• Encourage residents to participate in scheduled events.
• Prepare environment for activities to ensure safety.
• Create a welcoming and festive environment for residents and guests.
• Promote and support culture of patient centered care and service.
