Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Community Life Aide for the Neighborhoods of White Lake, part-time, day shift (10am–6pm). Under the direction of the Community Life Director, you will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents.

You will interview residents or family members to personalize goals, promote socialization, increase activity, and observe progress. A high school diploma is preferred; a chauffeur license is desirable and may be needed to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Chauffeur license desirable and may be required to obtain a class C driver's license.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs.
• Identify, develop and execute solutions to enhance the resident living experience.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain life history information and plan meaningful objectives and goals.
• Promote resident socialization, increase physical activity and encourage lifelong learning.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and involvement to evaluate progress.
