Job summary

Willow Springs Center is seeking a Community Liaison to educate referral sources and the broader community about services for children with psychiatric disorders. The role covers a Southern California region, with travel required within the territory and occasional overnight stays.

The candidate will build partnerships with counties in the region, coordinate workshops, and maintain ongoing relationships with 160 referral sources per month, driving growth and ensuring access to care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, marketing, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in health care business development management with measurable results.
  • Experience developing managed care with knowledge in capitation and at-risk areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains new accounts and markets; supports 160 referral source contacts per month.
  • Develops and implements community workshops and seminars.
  • Maintains primary contact with customers through on-site visits on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyzes changes in health care environment and markets; makes recommendations to improve services.
  • Attends professional group meetings and represents Willow Springs Center on committees.
  • Liaises between the facility and referral sources to market Willow Springs Center and educate the community.

Responsibilities

Willow Springs Center (UHS) is looking for a Community Liaison located in the Southern California Region.

This position requires the candidate be based out of California.

Counties to be covered include:

LA, Orange & San Diego Counties

(And outer lying counties: Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernadino, Riverside, San Diego and Imperial Counties)

Must be willing and able to travel by car daily within the in assigned territory.

Must be willing and able to travel OVERNIGHT 25% within the assigned territory.

The purpose of the community liaison is to liaise between the facility and referral sources to market Willow Springs Center and to educate the greater community on services that could be provided to referrals.

This position is necessary to educate the greater community about the services offered to treat children with psychiatric disorders. Without their work, referrals sources may not know the opportunities available for patients and much needed care would never be established.

  • Manages time effectively in order to meet obligations for meetings, reports and information, and public communication.
  • Develops and implements community workshops and seminars, held at the facility or in the community.
  • Develops and maintain new accounts and markets. Maintains customer support of 160 referral source contacts per month.
  • Analyzes changes within the changing health care environment and health care market and makes recommendations to improve services based on analysis.
  • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field; represents Willow Springs Center on various committees.
  • Maintains primary contact with all customers assigned accounts through On-Site visits on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field.

Experience: A minimum three (3) years of experience in a health care business development management position preferred, with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results, preferred direct experience developing managed care with knowledge in the areas of capitation and at-risk areas. In addition, detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency issues.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements may be considered.
