Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS facility in Dearborn, is seeking a Community Liaison to connect the hospital with the community and referral sources. The role focuses on promoting outpatient services and maintaining a professional public image.
You will manage a geographic territory, collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Outpatient Director, and travel up to 80% to meet goals.
A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is directly responsible for creating demand for the facility’s outpatient services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and the Outpatient Director, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community. The Community Liaison is responsible for enhancing the facility’s brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility Outpatient goals. The Community Liaison must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication in a fast-paced environment. Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.
