Job summary

Loyola University Chicago is seeking a Community Liaison for the PULSE Program to work on the Maywood Health Sciences Campus. The role focuses on building trust, raising awareness, and connecting residents with health resources.

The position is grant-funded through June 30, 2026 with potential renewal. Up to 10 hours per week, hybrid in-person work, and an emphasis on engaging underrepresented populations and local partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in community engagement or healthcare/public health settings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Maywood/Proviso Township is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and organizations.
• Assist with planning and promotion of events for screening and education.
• Facilitate awareness of local resources and health services.
• Assist with recruitment for workshops and events.
• Advocate for underrepresented populations to influence program aims and outcomes.
• Engage with local organizations to align efforts with ongoing programs.
• Collect information on population health needs and program effectiveness.
• Provide input on design, implementation and evaluation of initiatives.
