Job summary

People Incorporated Financial Services in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Business Development & Lending Officer to identify lending opportunities in underserved markets and guide borrowers from outreach to closing.

You will build relationships with entrepreneurs, referral partners, staff, and loan decision-makers, structure loans, and provide post-closing support while maintaining borrower relationships throughout the life of each loan.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit management, lending and finance, and/or business development.
• An associate degree or higher in finance, business management, or related field is strongly preferred.
• Relevant experience may be considered in place of higher education when permitted.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and develop lending opportunities with entrepreneurs and partners.
• Explain loan products and program requirements to prospective borrowers.
• Gather and verify information to support lending decisions.
• Analyze applications to assess creditworthiness and repayment.
• Coordinate loan closings and prepare documentation with staff and counsel.
• Monitor borrowers’ financial health and provide post-closing assistance.
