Job summary

Hillel International seeks a part‑time Kitchen and Facility Manager to support Jewish student life at the Burack Hillel Center on the University of Vermont campus. You will prepare meals, maintain the kosher kitchen, coordinate supplies, and support setup, service, and cleanup for Shabbat dinners and holiday events.

The role emphasizes keeping spaces organized, safe, and welcoming for students, volunteers, and staff, with Friday evening readiness and flexible hours around major holidays.

Qualifications

• Cooking and baking skills for groups and events.
• Experience in communal or catering kitchen settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and willingness to obtain required certifications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with students, volunteers, vendors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and help serve meals for Shabbat dinners, Jewish holidays, Sunday brunches, programs, and events.
• Plan menus with Hillel staff and student leaders.
• Coordinate food purchasing and kitchen supply needs.
• Maintain kosher kitchen standards and proper labeling and storage.
