Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in a line cook or prep cook role.
• Solid knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Basic understanding of food handling and safety procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and as part of a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Maintains personal cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, cuts, prepares, and cooks meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature.
• Prepares and cooks items per menus and dietary requirements.
• Bakes breads, rolls, and pastries.
• Portions and serves food to residents, guests and team members.
• Washes cooking equipment such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces.
• Inventories supplies and equipment.
• Determines, or assists in determining meals and menus.
• Ensures cleanliness of galley equipment and work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
