Job summary

Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is seeking a Community Justice Therapist to support residential substance use and mental health programs for clients under community supervision. The role includes individual and group therapy, trauma-informed care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates may be hired at Therapist I or II levels based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Therapist must provide individual and group therapy for substance use and mental health needs.
• Experience with client-centered, gender-responsive groups is preferred.
• Familiarity with criminal justice-involved populations and trauma-informed care is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with treatment team to deliver individual and group therapy in residential and aftercare programs.
• Facilitate gender-responsive groups addressing substance use, mental health, trauma-informed care, and life skills.
• Conduct substance use and mental health evaluations to assess client needs.
• Provide individual and relational therapy as appropriate to support progress.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and record-keeping.
