Job summary

Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is seeking a Community Justice Specialist to support Community Justice Alternatives (CJA) programs. You will supervise clients, conduct intakes, and coordinate with community partners to promote accountability and safety.

This role requires crisis intervention awareness, clear reporting, and flexibility to cover varied shifts, including weekends and overnights.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of higher education or any combination of education, training, or experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
• Possession of Adult CPR, First Aid and AED certification within six (6) months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervising clients directly and ensuring they follow program rules
• Conducting intakes to explain facility and program procedures to new clients
• Monitoring client living and work areas through formal counts, location checks, and phone searches
• Maintaining facility safety and security by controlling contraband and performing searches of clients and living spaces
• Supporting client accountability by monitoring medication use, conducting interviews, and using systems such as NCIC, CCIC, Colorado Courts, and Jail Management
• Collaborating with community agencies, employers, and others to support client employment, work projects, and community service commitments
