Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a part-time Job Coach / Employment Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in Georgetown and Sussex County. You will meet participants at worksites and community locations, helping with career exploration, applications, interviews, and workplace readiness.

A bachelor’s degree is not required; relevant experience and training are provided. Most work is daytime, with potential to transition to full-time as needs grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is not required; relevant experience welcome.
• Experience in disability services, education, or workforce development is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Help participants communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Develop natural workplace supports to promote independence.
• Monitor participant progress and adjust coaching strategies as skills grow.
• Provide ongoing support to promote employment retention.
