Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a compassionate Job Coach / Employment Specialist for a part-time, community-based role in Frederick, Maryland. You will coach participants at employer worksites, assist with job applications, interviews, and ongoing employment support.

A bachelor's degree is not required, and training is provided. Applicants with experience in disability services, education, or workforce development are encouraged to apply. Mileage reimbursement is offered for approved travel.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is not required.
• Relevant experience in disability services is preferred.
• Experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring, or customer service may also be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Help participants communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Develop natural workplace supports that promote greater independence.
