Job summary

The Centers in Cleveland, OH is seeking an IPS Supported Employment & Education Specialist to help individuals with mental health challenges obtain and sustain competitive employment and education aligned with their strengths and goals.

This role is field-focused (about 65%), engaging job seekers, employers, schools, families, and service partners, while managing a dedicated caseload and driving outcomes and revenue through OOD billing.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in human services, customer service, sales, or workforce development.
• Experience-Based Pay Scales: Higher starting pay tiers with more experience in mental health, rehabilitation, or employment coaching.
• Core Competencies: Community engagement, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Travel: Valid driver's license, auto insurance, clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Engage job seekers in community settings and build relationships.
• Assess vocational interests and develop employment/education plans.
• Conduct six in-person employer contacts weekly to build networks.
• Provide job search assistance and accommodations education to employers.
• Deliver ongoing job support before and after start dates for retention.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and state rehabilitation counselors.
