The Atlantic District is hiring a General Insurance Agent in Yorktown, Virginia. You will serve as the face of our agency, building local relationships and helping families and businesses protect what matters most.

You will work in a supportive team that values growth, training, and community engagement. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, building a steady portfolio through outreach, handling renewals, coordinating with underwriters, processing payments, and maintaining accurate

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline of prospective clients.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear and articulate communication skills over the phone and in person.
• Intermediate proficiency with insurance rating software and Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience working in a customer-facing sales role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the individual needs of new and existing clients to suggest the most effective coverage options.
• Build and maintain a steady portfolio of accounts through consistent outreach and networking in the Yorktown community.
• Manage policy renewals and answer questions about coverage limitations or benefits.
• Collaborate with our underwriters to ensure accurate documentation and timely policy issuance.
• Process payments and perform routine account maintenance with high attention to detail.
• Keep your product knowledge current to ensure we are always providing accurate and helpful advice.
