Job summary

Broward HealthPoint seeks a proactive Community Engagement professional to increase awareness and utilization of services across Broward HealthPoint communities. You will build trust with schools, faith-based groups, and local organizations to connect residents with care.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in community outreach, with strong communication and event management skills. This is a full-time, on-site role in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement

Work within the parameters of the Business Plan as developed by Director to cultivate new and foster existing relationships within the community for the purpose of increasing utilization of services.

  • Serve as an ambassador for Broward HealthPoint at community events and health fairs.
B . Educate the community on services available through Broward HealthPoint
  • Build strong ongoing relationships with community-based organizations religious leaders school officials and civic groups
  • Coordinate the setup staffing and promotion of outreach events in collaboration with internal teams
  • Manage promotional materials and serve as on-site lead during events.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of event metrics such as attendance materials distributed referrals made and community feedback
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to ensure materials and signage align with brand guidelines
  • Resource Navigation & Referral Support
  • Help community members understand how to access Broward HealthPoint services and schedule appointments
  • Connect residents to appropriate services
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all Broward HealthPoint programs and locations
  • Communication & Reporting: Foster a high level of communication and shared information throughout the system.
A . Possess super written and oral communication skills
  • Maintain a calendar of community events outreach commitments and follow-up timelines
  • Track all outreach activities and generate reports on community impact event success and unmet needs observed
  • Regularly debrief with the Director Community Impact to share community insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Self-Development: Identify and pursue professional self-development and maintain the most up to date knowledge in the field.
  • Identify own developmental needs and initiate planned growth activities.
  • Read current literature specific to field to keep up to date on market trends.
  • Special Projects : Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Display initiative innovation creativeness and understanding to meet the unique reporting needs of The organization.
  • Consider all appropriate information in performing special projects. Assist with development of project timelines.
  • Assist with work in other sections/departments as requested.
