Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School seeks a Part-time Project Coordinator, Community Service (AWC) to manage a small team and coordinate activities for a community service project in Philadelphia courts. You will oversee three Community Liaisons, run weekly meetings, and report progress to the research team from Sept 2026 to June 2027.

Remote work is possible for coordination tasks, but the role requires proximity to Philadelphia for in-person events and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

• Project coordination and team management experience, ideally in government, nonprofit, or research sectors.
• Familiarity with research and needs, especially in program evaluation or justice systems.
• Familiarity with several regions in Philadelphia.
• Experience interacting with Philadelphia community groups and nonprofits.
• Experience with vulnerable populations, including justice-involved individuals.
• Knowledge of court systems, especially in Philadelphia.
• Reliable communication and ability to attend online and in-person meetings.
• Organized, adaptable, energetic and articulate with a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Google Docs and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel and staff events within Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Communicate frequently with the research team to establish goals, progress, and timelines.
• Plan, attend, and execute promotion and conclusion events.
• Lead recruiting for team members including a web designer and three community liaisons.
• Respond to client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Meet with stakeholders and provide support to community groups and court representatives.
• Elevate Community Liaison concerns to the research team when necessary.
