Trax Credit Union in Tampa, FL is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to build relationships across the communities we serve and raise awareness of our mission, products, and financial wellness initiatives.

The role focuses on outreach, partnership development, and representing the credit union at events, schools, nonprofits, business associations, and employer groups to expand visibility and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/market development experience.
• 2-5 years of credit union experience.
• 2-3 years of business development or B2B sales experience.
• Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to create reports and track activities with a CRM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with management to drive business development strategies, establish short- and long-term goals, and implement plans that support organizational objectives.
• Develops and executes business plans by researching prospective member companies, monitoring market trends, and applying strategies that drive new business and strengthen community engagement.
• Serves as a relationship ambassador by building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external members, vendors, and community contacts, while providing timely service and education on products, services, programs, promotions, and financial wellness initiatives.
• Represents the credit union at onsite and community events, assisting with new account opening, onboarding, and outreach efforts.
• Supports new Select Employee Groups (SEGs) by enrolling SEG representatives and educating them on their role and the program.
• Partners with Branch Managers to develop and execute community engagement efforts aligned with strategic growth goals.
