Job summary

The Chavez Foundation seeks a Community Service Coordinator in Fresno, CA to oversee Si Se Puede Community Center programs, including afterschool, resident services, meals, health/wellness and outreach. Under the Regional Program Coordinator, you will supervise residents, volunteers, and student interns, and develop community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Preferred to have at least 48 college credits or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services.
• Preferably bilingual.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access) required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Live scan background check.
• Must provide proof of a negative TB test within the last 2 years.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• This position does require the individual to commute between sites.
• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain those certifications.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required for transportation, set up and conducting activities.
• The ability to create partnerships to ensure all site/programming requirements are being met.
• Essential Worker Position (This is not a work from home position)

Responsibilities

• Maintain all ethical practices of the Chavez Foundation by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism
• Manage all Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, which consist of an Afterschool Program, Resident Social Services, Meal Distribution, Health and Wellness and Community Outreach
• Friendly, outgoing personality that establishes a welcoming environment within the facility for members and visitor
• Skill in maintaining record keeping and document retention systems and in compiling comprehensive reports
