Job summary

PROVAIL is seeking a Job Development Specialist I to support people with disabilities in finding meaningful careers. You will build relationships with local employers, develop individualized employment plans, and provide on-the-job coaching to help participants succeed.

Travel between regions and in-person client work are primary, with some remote support possible. The role emphasizes discovery, job development, and follow-along coaching, with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in employment services, social work, disability services, workforce development, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent practical experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Lived experience with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and maintain required monthly service hours.
• Develop person-centered employment plans reflecting participants' interests and goals.
• Conduct discovery to explore skills and preferences for job matching.
• Conduct vocational assessments to determine learning styles and job preferences.
• Develop marketing materials and build relationships with new business partners.
• Provide on-the-job support and coaching with strengths-based approaches.
• Monitor progress and celebrate successes.
