Job summary

Cornerstone Support Services in Virginia is seeking a reliable Donation Pickup Driver to join our team. You will operate a vehicle with a trailer to collect donated items, including heavy furniture, from donors and bring them back to the store for sorting and display.

You will represent the organization with courtesy and safety consciousness during every interaction. Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, experience towing a trailer, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving with a trailer and handling large or heavy items.
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and boxes up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle with an attached trailer to scheduled donation pickup locations.
• Offer tax-deductible donation forms to donors.
• Safely load, secure, and transport donated items, including heavy furniture and multiple boxes.
• Maintain a polite, respectful, and professional demeanor with all donors.
• Trips to the dump and the scrap metal yard may be necessary at times.
• Unload donations at the store and assist with sorting and staging items.
• Move and set up furniture displays within the store as directed.
• Assist customers with loading purchased furniture into their vehicles.
