Job summary

The San Bernardino County Department of Community Development and Housing (CDH) seeks a Community Development and Housing Project Manager II to oversee planning, implementation, and long-term management of affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization projects within the county.

You will work with other project managers, the Senior Housing Project Manager, the Deputy Director, and the Director to ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements, while also managing asset

Qualifications

• Experience in housing development project management and community revitalization.
• Experience managing public infrastructure and capital improvement projects.
• Knowledge of CDBG/HUD-funded programs and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to review budgets, financials, insurance, tenant files, and property condition reports.
• Experience preparing Board items, staff reports, and public-facing materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, and long-term management of affordable housing and community development projects.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory agreements, affordability restrictions, and funding requirements.
• Coordinate with property managers, service providers, and development partners to ensure asset performance.
• Support portfolio transactions including acquisitions, refinances, resyndications, and reconveyances.
• Prepare Board agenda items, legal agreements, and related documents.
