Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Normal, IL is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.

You will perform daytime housekeeping tasks in accordance with safety protocols and company standards to support a comfortable living environment for residents. You will greet residents and guests, assist with meal service tasks, launder linens, and perform apartment deep cleaning as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping for the community and resident apartments: vacuum, dust, clean entryways, common areas, dining room, halls, and patios.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens, and manage linen supplies.
• Perform deep cleaning as needed and empty waste baskets.
• Launder linens in provided facilities.
• Greet residents and guests, serve beverages, cereals, and soups from the cart.
• Review menu, take orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return cart to kitchen and store perishables; deliver trays to rooms if needed.
• Bus and clear tables, reset for next meal following sanitizing procedures.
• Complete side work: refill sugar, creamers, clean coffeemaker.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
