Job summary

Western North Carolina Community Health Services is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our outpatient team at the McDowell Health Center in Marion, NC. The Clinic Nurse will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote health, prevent disease, and manage chronic conditions.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, vaccinations, triage, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN).
• Strong communication, clinical assessment skills, proficiency in EMR, and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and procedures with patients.
• Administer vaccinations and routine medications; manage chronic conditions per protocols.
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyles and preventive care.
• Triage patients by phone and in person; support walk-in visits.
• Document medical histories and coordinate care with other providers.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain current clinical knowledge.
