Job summary

Vanderheyden Hall Inc. is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide health services to individuals in our care during the day, in community residences, in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and regulatory guidelines.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare needs, document findings, and ensure timely care. Must hold a NYS RN license, have a valid driver's license with clean MVR, and be able to work 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Valid NYS RN license.
Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
Relevant experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, or community nursing.
Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a health file for each individual admitted into our programs.
Develop and implement a nursing care plan, which provides for routine prophylactic care and individualized services as noted in the admission assessment.
Provide ongoing nursing assessments as dictated by the individual’s needs.
Review documentation received from health care providers and implement the recommendations given by the provider within an appropriate time period.
Maintain an adequate supply of medication for individual use in school/day program.
