Job summary

Vanderheyden, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse to provide health services for adults with developmental disabilities in community residences in the Troy, NY area.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate healthcare needs and document findings in accordance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Valid NYS RN License.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Relevant experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, or community nursing.
• Must work at least one shift per pay period.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a health file for each individual admitted into our programs.
• Develop and implement a nursing care plan, which provides for routine prophylactic care and individualized services as noted in the admission assessment.
• Provide ongoing nursing assessments as dictated by the individual’s needs.
• Review documentation received from health care providers and implement the recommendations given by the provider within an appropriate time period.
• Maintain an adequate supply of medication for individual use in school/day program.

Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides health services to the individuals in the care of the agency. The RN will provide care for adults with developmental disabilities in community residences in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and our regulatory agencies. The RN will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the healthcare needs of individuals and documenting the findings.

Pay: $32.00 per hour
