Job summary

McLaren Health Plan seeks a Community Engagement Specialist to drive membership growth across all lines of business and to promote core values through outreach activities. You will build relationships with community partners to attract and retain members.

The role requires travel around Michigan, including days in Flint, with a typical schedule of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. A relevant degree and health care outreach experience are required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, health care or related field, or GED with 2+ years in community outreach or health care.
• Two years' experience in health care outreach, marketing, or customer service.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; auto insurance required.
• Must hold Community Health Worker certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach activities to grow plan membership across all lines of business.
• Promote core values and services through community partnerships.
• Travel to communities across Michigan, including Flint, to engage stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners to attract and retain members.
