Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dynamic professional to coordinate strategic community engagement and activation efforts in Milwaukee. You will work across departments to manage milestones, partnerships, and programs that advance our community impact initiatives from planning to launch.

You will lead engagement with diverse stakeholders, develop metrics, and ensure readiness for activation, while communicating progress and outcomes to leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in community engagement, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, public health, project management, or related field.
• Experience with diverse community stakeholders preferred.
• Experience coordinating projects and events preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and next steps to ensure work progresses on time and in alignment with priorities.
• Lead community engagement efforts that strengthen visibility, credibility, and relationships within Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
• Plan and execute pre-opening and ongoing community activation activities, including events and partner meetings.
• Evaluate milestones, partner onboarding, and activation efforts for launch readiness.
• Develop storytelling and awareness-building strategies around community impact initiatives and partnerships.

Pay Range: $44.15 - $66.25

Partners to develop and advance The Beacon’s community-centered ecosystem model. This role coordinates and influences the people, projects, partnerships, programs, and activation efforts needed to advance The Beacon from planning through launch and into sustained community impact.

Major Responsibilities:

Program and Project Coordination

• Develop and manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and next steps to ensure work progresses on time and in alignment with organizational priorities.

Community and Partner Engagement

• Lead community engagement efforts that strengthen The Beacon’s visibility, credibility, and relationships within the Near West Side and broader Milwaukee community.

Beacon Activation and Event Support

• Plan and execute pre-opening and ongoing community activation activities, including community events, advisory meetings, program previews, partner convenings and public-facing engagement opportunities.

Operational Support and Readiness

• Evaluate and advance launch-related milestones, partner onboarding, and community-facing activation efforts.

Communication, Reporting, and Documentation

• Develop storytelling and awareness-building strategies around The Beacon’s community impact initiatives, programs, partnerships, and activation efforts.

Metrics, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement

• Develop, track, and analyze metrics related to program performance, partnership engagement, community activation, and operational readiness, interpret data to assess progress toward strategic goals and recommend continuous improvement efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work collaboratively across Community Health & Impact, National Center for Clinical and Community Impact, communications, marketing, government affairs, real estate, planning/design/construction, program leads, anchor partners, and community stakeholders. Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by Beacon leadership to advance organizational priorities and emerging opportunities.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience in community engagement, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, public health, project management, or related field.

• Experience coordinating projects and events preferred.
