Job summary

Horizons at Indian River community in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the property in a clean, safe, and attractive condition. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires regular attendance as an essential function.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, prospects, and visitors to make them feel welcome.
• Remove and dispose of all trash from grounds and common areas.
• Enhance appearance of common areas, including pool and playgrounds, weed lawns and flower beds, place mulch, prune trees.
• Routinely inspect grounds for hazards such as holes or divots.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Mow and trim the lawn.
• Perform minor repairs with hand tools.
• Clean roofs and gutters; paint signage.
