Weidner Apartment Homes in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Grounds Technician to maintain daily grounds, pools, irrigation, and common areas, ensuring a welcoming community for residents and guests.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift up to 80 lb, outdoor duties in all weather, basic computer skills, and familiarity with Yardi, HappyCo, and Paycom; occasional overtime and property assignments across Weidner communities.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms and climb ladders.
• Able to push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kilograms with a dolly.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be on feet for entire shift and work overtime as needed.
• Willingness to learn new software and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred; familiarity with Yardi/HappyCo/Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds maintenance: trash removal, pet waste, sweeping walkways, and snow removal where applicable.
• Clean pools, monitor chemical balance, maintain logs.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems; assist with vacant unit prep and trash outs.
• Clean windows, breezeways, amenities, model homes, and offices; replace bulbs as needed.
• Water plants manually and distribute resident notices while maintaining privacy.
