Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Prior military, security, corrections, police, or relevant experience is a plus.
• May require Special Police/Constable powers within a municipality.
• Over three months up to one year of experience is required.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• Must obtain MA Firearms ID Card and License to Carry within 6–12 months of hire.
• MOAB de-escalation, OC,手cuffing, baton training within 120 days of hire.
• BLS, CPR and First Responder certification within 120 days of hire.
• Eligible to become a special police officer under MA law.
• IAHSS Basic Officer Certification within 1 year of appointment.
• Vaccination against flu and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Protect and ensure safety of Southcoast Health System and SHG assets and people.
• Guard against fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry; control access points.
• Perform day-to-day security operations under supervision.
