Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking a passionate Personal Trainer to design and administer personalized fitness programs for members, aligned with the YMCA’s mission and safety standards.

You will lead training sessions, assess fitness levels, maintain records, and collaborate with staff. A current CPR/AED/First Aid certification and being an approved national Personal Trainer Instructor are required, with ongoing education encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually.
• Must complete all required Redwoods Trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annually.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be an approved national Personal Trainer Instructor.
• Required to lift excessive weight (minimum of 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Design and administer personalized fitness training programs in accordance with member's needs and program objectives of the Personal Training Program.
• Demonstrate correct form and supervise exercises safely; CPR and First Aid readiness at all times.
• Develop program levels for participants and understand muscles, nutrition and overall fitness.
• Maintain records, coordinate scheduling, and assist with marketing the program.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, clutter-free fitness center.
