Manassas Park City Library is seeking a Library Director I to lead a single-location library, uphold LS&S mission, and strengthen partnerships with local officials.

You will manage staff, oversee materials selection, analyze data, ensure privacy, and drive initiatives for excellent customer service and community engagement. A MLIS degree is required, with 1–3 years supervisory experience, and the salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MLIS degree required.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience analyzing library financial reports and data.
• Basic knowledge of programming and financial management.
• Experience interacting with patrons and addressing their needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote LS&S mission and lead a single-location library team.
• Evaluate environments and operational indicators for improvements.
• Regularly report to VP of Library Operations and coordinate via Zoom.
• Coach staff to achieve goals and maintain service quality.
• Oversee staffing levels and customer service delivery.
• Develop staff to deliver excellent patron experiences.
• Manage procurement and processing of library materials.
• Maintain relationships with city/county officials and boards.
• Ensure privacy and compliance with library policies.
• Stay current with library trends, issues, and technology.
